Furniture can be provided by The Gateshead Housing Company for some Council properties, or furnished accommodation may be available for you to move into. If you require a furnished tenancy make sure you highlight this on your application form. Furniture packages are not available from The Gateshead Housing Company for housing that is provided by a private landlord.

Free Used Furniture, The Gateshead Foundations Project, Tower Court, Dunston Gateshead can supply people who are on benefits or people on low incomes with furniture that has been donated to them. This includes items such as beds, wardrobes, settees, living room furniture, and tables and chairs, etc. The service does not supply any electrical equipment such as cookers, fridge, washing machines, etc. Foundations have a £10 delivery charge for items being delivered.
